Unconstrained subnational Population Weighted Density in 2000, 2005, 2010, 2015 and 2020 ( 1km resolution )

Subnational level Population Weighted Density (PWD) metrics produced using 1km WorldPop population datasets and GADM (version 3.6) level 1 administrative unit boundaries. The metrics is available to download in geojson, csv and shp file format.

The population weighted density metrics presented here include:

PWC (Lat, Lon) – contains the population weighted centroids
PWD_A - PWD of region calculated using arithmetic mean to average the weighted densities (Craig et al., 1984)
PWD_G - PWD based on the geometric mean (Craig et al., 1984) .
PWD_M – population weighted median density based on weighted median , as suggested by Ottensmann (2018)
PWD_D{1..10} - distribution deciles
